Course Description

 

This module familiarizes students with the graphical-user operating environment. Basic functions of Windows are demonstrated. Students do laboratory assignments to utilize the basic operating functions of Windows such as file handling, fonts, graphics, icons and screen control.

Windows Introduction

Perform basic Windows operations using the Desktop, Menu system

Work with files and folders

Use basic Windows applications

Select the characteristics of the various storage media

Identify and use various storage media

Do basic functions of Internet applications 

Use the internet as a research tool

                   Exam = 30 %

Extra Credit = 1 exam point for each project cross word puzzle
                          

90 to 100 = A

80 to 89 = B

70 to 79 = C

60 to 69 = D

Below 60 = F
